its done nothing but cause me grief. It's too damn hard to do anything to the engine.
Being the owner of a 96 lx, I guess I can give you some good advice. LX's and DX's (engine code= d16y7) can get a tubro or SC for their ride by replacing the stock intake manifold with a ex (engine code= d16y8) of a similar generation. But there's no real point, since the y7 isn't built very well. I've heard the y7 can handle maybe 5-6psi of boost, and then kaput, you need a new engine.
the y8's are better built, but even then, if you're swapping an engine, there's better coices. If you really want to go forced induction, I suggest getting a b18b (integra ls)
but IMHO, LX's are best suited for crusin slow and in style
that is, until you get a new engine
