really you should know distribution rules and not just FOIL, since it only applies to a specific situation, need to be able to do stuff like
(x^2 -2x +3)(3x^15 -4x^4+9x^2-4)

not really any harder, just more terms to distribute around, but FOIL doesnt apply here and would only confuse someone who didnt understand distribution
