GSR engine is not worth the swap. As answered in a previous thread, the b18b is a perfectly fine engine for getting nice power gains via turbocharging.

You mentioned road racing; if that's the case power shouldn't be as big of an issue . A gsr won't necessarily be worth getting just to mod for power gains, but in stock form it has a potent engine that responds better to bolt-ons. If you're not planning an extensive engine build-up I would recommend the gsr.

It sounds like you'd really enjoy the type-R, but good luck finding one in 4 years
