For the past 3 months I have been hearing a whining noise coming from my engine in the area where the p/s, a/c, altenater, pulley,etc is located. At first I thought it may have been my power steering pump going bad however this noise continues right through the day from when the car is started up till I turn it off. It gets louder when I am driving or press the gas pedal but once the car is put in neutral or I depress the clutch it quiets down a little bit. There is no leak coming from anywhere nor is my p/s fluid dirty(changed it this summer) neither is any of the fluid level low.The belt is not loose either. Has anyone had this problem before or does anyone know what it could be???
