The price for swap included a custom short ram intake instead of installing a stock intake that comes with swap. I already had DC headers from my previous sorry so called LS motor swap.

So which racing are you definately looking at doing since you're aware of $$. I think youd like a EF . Yes EG's are alot easier to find. EG Si vs EF Si you'd definately spend more. I think a EF CRX SI w/ a B16 swap or B18C1 GSR(USDM) would be nasty. Of course you'd come out alot cheaper than I did 4 yrs ago doing it yourself. If I knew how to do a swap I would've did a B18C GSR w/ LSD instead of my B16. I have no complaints but, of course more torque doesn't hurt.
