i work in the disability insurance field.. and it hurts me everytime i tell a cancer patient that we can't pay benefits because they knew they had cancer when they bought the policy...
then they start crying because they haven't worked in a couple of months, are behind on mortgage and car payments and are about to die.... i empathize with them, and since we can't give any 'advice' i cant help them.... i feel bad for the rest of my work day... but by the time i get home i forget all about it tho :dunno:
does something like that have to be documented (like it was discovered by a doctor before policy) or is it something where they had said they knew about it in general?
