Dec 5 C Daniel Briere (groin strain) is out 4-to-5 weeks and has been placed on long-term injury.

Dec 3 Briere will be sidelined for four to five weeks with a severe groin strain. He missed nine games before coming back in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over Tampa Bay. However, Briere was forced to leave in the second period of that game after experiencing discomfort.
