another thing that irritates me is, at least in pa, people line up in a lane when coming to a merge point, and will sit in miles of single lane traffic while inching up (usually accompanied by construction).. and when you drive up to the MERGE POINT in the open lane, people get pissed at you and/or try to block you.

It's called a merge point for a reason, it doesnt meant to get in line miles back.
