Questions for the sporting clays crew:

What type of choke works best for shooting clays? Or does it not really matter? Similar question for shot size - does that make a difference?

Tried shooting clay today for the first time, I was pretty terrible. Only shotgun we had with us was my sister's boyfriend's Remington 870 home defense shotty (18-inch barrel, no choke). He said he used it once before for clays and it worked ok, though he was at a range with an automatic thrower. Here, we had to throw them ourselves. Sun shining directly at us didn't help either. I would definitely like to try it again, maybe with a better setup next time.
