It takes about 6 hours to drive from LA to SF and about 3 hours to fly when you factor in the wait time at airports and the drive from SFO to downtown.
We aren't getting any less crowded and we can't build any more airports down here.
I'll gladly pay $200 to get from A to B in one stroke.
Not to mention that Asia, Japan, Europe have high speed trains all over the place. Hopefully this will get other areas of the country to adopt the technology, and help out the infrastructure quite a bit. We are WAY behind the times.
