also, it's best to use the same pads all around. the factory balanced the brakes out, when you change the different friction settings, you can actually harm your braking performance.
Do you really think that many people have the same brand pads F/R in all cars? How often do F/R wear out at the same time?
I would think that kind of difference would only be noticeable if you have small stock brakes in the rear and some huge brake upgrade up front.
