+1 Jesse. My buddy in NY has an illegal AR.. 30rd mags, forward grip, and retractable stock are all illegal. Why does this make it illegal? If he wants to kill someone he'll do it whether or not he has a forward grip, stock retracted - or set, or a 15rd mag instead of a 30rd.

Apparently those classify as an "assault" weapon?
