First of all I want to thank you all for having the confidence in me to head up this project. I fear I might be coming off as greedy or unappreciative but I can assure you that is not the case. I’ve never even been in this sort of position so I’m not sure what’s acceptable or not, that’s why I’m coming to you first. I don’t know if this is even negotiable and I want to take on the project regardless of the outcome of my request but I would appreciate the consideration of a higher base or differential, if possible. One thing that I feel is, at least for me, a concern is the monetary aspect. I didn’t really think of it until just a short while ago but one issue would be that, since most of my computer work is done when I am off, working during the week will surely hinder my income flow. I surely don’t expect anything more because what was offered is generous but if the possibility is there, I would appreciate it.

That said, If it’s okay with you, I’m going to go ahead and start researching our options for routers and other networking equipment. Maybe we can have a few choices lined up that way, from that point, we can base our decision on the group’s decision regarding home vs. business, etc. I’m not familiar with the testing equipment that will be required but I’m going to start looking into that as well. If there are other things that you think I might be able to go ahead and start researching and brainstorming on, please let me know.
