is the d40 the entry level dSLR? my friend is trying to talk me into buying a D80 :eek5: shites expensive.

i doubt you really need a D80
the D40 is PLENTY for me, although i wish it would let me shoot raw + jpeg and do the jpeg in more than just basic quality
