You don't need the top hats personally. If this is your daily driver you cannot go more than a 2" drop anyway since that is about the limit of the shocks. Being that low and your daily driver you might run into scraping issues like I did with my Civics.

Realize though with the setup I had the car is going to be a little more bouncy than before. The Koni Yellows are much stiffer than stock, took my wife awhile to get used to it
