Yay for him, he got treated well during the Vietnam War and my dad got treated like shit. Does he come back a hero? No, he has to work overtime daily to make ends meet for my family and guess what we are middle class people. Yay privileged people. Yay for not supporting VA benefits. I admire the man for what he has been through like my dad but in no way does his self-sacrifice outweigh anyone else in our armed forces, past or present.
Nor does his self-sacrifice make him any more qualified to be president than anyone else. I respect people who have laid down their health and lives in honorable service to our country, but we can't elect a man on principles like that. We need a leader who's level headed, educated about the constitution, and wants what's best for the people of America. Obama is that.
