What amuses me is that the people are somehow convinced that the wealthy do not get the greatest benefit from taxes (And somehow returning the taxes to the level of the Reagan years is a bad thing?). FDIC insurance is a great example: Show me someone making 40K per year (or less) who would impact that in case a bank failed (While I think everyone making over 150K per year would take a fair draw from it).
Food stamps and other poor assistance programs are drops in the bucket compared to what benefits to top gain.
