Incorrect. Pâté is cooked. Alot of the time it is liver... but it is also a mix of other meats as well. It's almost always cooked.
Steak Tartare is raw. Usually mixed with egg, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, onion and capers. Excellent brunch meal with some french fries IMO.

Ground beef that is raw and you eat with crackers would be Steak Tartar (it also has egg and seasoning in it).
Paté is ground liver (Normally goose, duck, or Pig).
But yea... I called it ground meat also.

Last time I was there... Thursdays next to Winnies on Crescent St serves it for Sunday brunch :thumbup:
