Very similar to the work done for the GD8 Type C.
Not much new in the drivetrain, mostly a weight savings regimen.

Details are scarce - and our Japanese rusty - but all indications, including those from its predecessors, point to the Spec-C variant trimming some 70 kilos (or 155 lbs) off the STi's kerb weight. The weight loss comes courtesy of lightweight body panels for roof, boot lid and doors, thinner compartment glass and a smaller fuel tank and battery.

A revised aero kit, principally new spoilers front and rear, also includes the addition of a roof scoop, while new lightweight white rims provide the finishing touch. Underpinnings are revised, with uprated shocks and springs as well as a stiffened suspension configuration.
