1. A '01+ Mustang WILL run a high 13 off the showroom floor, given the right driver and right conditions. And a 14.7 does NOT show 'excellent' driving abilities regardless of whether or not you think that time does reflect excellent driving. I won't even comment on the 15.0+ times. You're an idiot if you think that's even CLOSE to what a GT is capable of. ****, my '98GT with gears and O/R pipe ran 9.1 @ 78.5 mph, or about a 14.2 @ 97-98mph on Firehawk SZ50s, and that was with probably 190-195rwhp.

2. Just because your brother can't drive a stick right and has gone through two clutches in under 30K miles, don't hand me the 'Mustangs are junk' pos cop-out line. My stock clutch had over 60 1/8 mile passes on BFG drag radials, including second gear burnouts, powershifting, and 5K rpm launches--and just then was it starting to slip. And if I used your logic then I have a friend who's Civic won't ever start, then all Civics are peices of ****. See how dumb that sounds?

BTW, if you mean he's on his second throw out bearing, then I can believe that--the stock Ford throw out bearings are crap, and always chatter, but it's also covered under warranty. The simple fix? Get a Timken T/O bearing from Autozone and have Ford install it under warranty (which they will do), and no more problem.

3. I also have friends who are still on stock clutches, who run nitrous, superchargers, and some of them slicks. They don't have problems. Is it optimum? No, but they work. One friend in particular has 90K miles on his stock clutch, and it holds a 125 shot on DRs.

4. Comparing a heavily modded Civic hatch to a bone-stock, or bolt-on exhaust Mustang is flaming gay. Maybe I should compare my heavily modded Mustang to a stock Civic and make fun of it? That would be pretty stupid, too and I'm sure you'll agree.

5. Please list what he's spent $1500 in repairs on, for a car that is still under warranty. I'm very interested, because that's alot of brake pads and clutch discs (about the only thing not covered under warranty).

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. If you don't like them, fine--but there's no need too bash them just because YOU don't like them.

BTW, I'll find the bonestock 13 second Mustang threads here in a second.
