I could probably deal with a DSG or some kind of automated manual...but I absolutely hate driving an auto. I even drove my friend's C63 AMG and although it was fast as balls, I still didn't really enjoy it.
this is the case with many people.

my views changed when i did my first track event in the evo. there were times where i misjudged a shift point or was just concentrating on controlling the car that i would forget shifting or what gear to heel-toe to. call me a noob, but if i had the option to have a fast ass car where i'd be able to just concentrate on enjoying the G-forces and whatever else other than shifting, i'd choose the non-manual option. given my noob track driving skills, i'd rather have an automated manual so i can rid my fears of crazy ass track speeds easier.
