The thread in the block is 1/8 BSPT, and the thread on the Autometer sender is 1/8NPT, so you need an adapter. Also, the Autometer sending unit is pretty big, and if you just screw it into the block with a tee fitting, it has a pretty good chance of snapping off due to engine vibration, which would mean no oil pressure, and you can guess what happens next. In order to avoid this, tou need to run a 1/8 BSPT adapter from the block to an length of tubing or stainless line back to a tee that you can mount on the firewall. You then hook your stock sending unit and the Autometer sending unit into the tee. If you don't need the "functionality" of the stock idiot light, then just mount the Autometer sending unit on the firewall, and run a line back to it from the block. That way, the line will isolate any vibrations.
