I had that noise in my brakes, it hought it was the drum's, it turned out to be a big pile of brake dust. i took them off and blew them out and there still fine. may be diffrent in your case.
yeah, that sometimes works, you can get a can of aerosol
brake cleaner and probably take care of it...
but that graveling noise is usually metal on metal components.
