Just get some JDM headlights if you want a sweet look. Never had halo's and in my opinion look good on the car that is designed for them. Halo's are pretty easy to make too. Basically just a wand for blinds, just heat it up and make it a ring, then drill two holes for two led's and run the power and ground out the headlight and there you have it. Save yourself the 150 or whatever they sell those cheap ass things for.
Also generally the projector len's inside the ebay halo's are crap too. Make your light patteren worse instead of having a nice cutoff line.
I agree. I do however have halos on my civic. Had them for about 4 years without them burning out. They do not get hot because they're LEDs which bun at a cooler temp than a regular bulb.
You do not need to wire them to a switch. Just wire them to your parking lights. They will however burn with parking lights AND with headliights. Like I said, mine never burned out.
Finally, if you do want to buy them, get them from a reputable manufacturer. I have DEPO headlights. Maybe thats why they lasted longer than those no-name ebay halos. Either way they're not too good. The projectors are pretty crappy and I did manage to get some dirt inside them.
