I vote because I can. If it wasn't for a balance of opinion in this country, I might still be chased by the klan, 3/5 of a man, and not even allowed on the bus. Whenever I speak to anyone in the voting line who's Black, we always start talking about the irony of us casting a vote.

My vote may be as potent as a sugar pill, but it's just something I do.
