I NEVER go out camping without AMPLE water. I carry 3 liters of electrolyte water, and a camelbak as backup.

Always bring extra water in arid environments, and if you're backpacking, never travel more than a day from a verified water source. It's basically the #1 rule.
The problem with such high weather in dry deserts is that it's easy to forget to drink until it's too late. You have to make sure you drink every hour at least.
