h: ) that McCain chose a running mate (i.e. someone intended to help with the election), while Obama chose a VP (i.e. someone with the credentials to fill in if need be). Can't say which is the smarter choice, but then, it probably wont make a difference anyway.
They were both smart choices, because people in their parties like the picks. I think the Palin pick was probably better, because she will appeal to more of the masses than Biden will. She has the potential to steal independent, and even some democrat voters that would have voted for hillary, and are now unsure.
