Continuing drama of moving back to the states...
So, I need to get a new house. I'm currently staying at the place of the girl I dated before I left on my trip (ooooOOOoooo), and I've been looking for housing in the east bay. I finally found a place; big room, nice location, biking distance from work, seemingly laid back roommates (even though they said I could only have overnight visitors (including a girl I'm seeing) one night a week. WTF?
Anyways, they (the roommates) decided to let me move in, and asked me to make a payment.
$550, check to landlord, for 1st month's rent: OK
$550, check to landlord, deposit: OK
$100, cash, for them to "prorate" my stay even though I wont be moving in until the 1st: WTF?
I'm supposed to go there and give them the money in 8 hours, but I'm tempted to tell them to step on a landmine. Anyone that pulls that kind of shit on me wont get my business.
Oh well, I have 3 days, then if I can't find something, I'll couchsurf for a bit until I can find a place not occupied by douchebags.
