1.8 L engine (manual transmission)
Situation- car would not start; panel lights dim; could hear starter solenoid on first attempt; second attempt nothing.
- battery boost started car; ran for a few minutes and then lights were turned on and car stalled

Installed rebuilt alternator with no change to situation.

Fuse in-car is good.

What other tests can be performed to isolate problem?
