without making a custom speaker pod to fit in the stock location that will house the speaker and tweeter, this isn't going to be possible w/all components being out of sight. If I mount them in the vents on the dash(factory location for tweets in 5th gen EX's) then they will be the same distance apart AND be hidden. Being that they are tweeters and only play the high frequencies, will be aimed at the windshield which will make them sound louder than they really are, I can't see them affecting imaging that much. If it was a set of mid's I was talking about, then yeah, it would most definitely be an issue, that's where the majority of the music is produced. Anyone agree with me?
