Honda Timing Belt
One of the biggest problems in replacing the honda timing belt (mine is a 96 Accord) is getting the pulley loose. Someone said a 1/2 in impact wrench. Would not work on mine. Had to use a 3/4 in impact with a 3/8 (not 1/4") hose. Also really mean to get to the 14MM bolt that holds the cover. It is usually really tight for some reason. Other than that - not too bad a job. I've done a 90 model with 230,000 mi and the 96 with 96,000 mi. Belts looked like new in both cases. Sure feels good to have them replaced though.
