You can use a regular halogen bulb or you can get HID's to work with them. However, thats not the real issue here. The listing is not telling you what kind of lightbulb those lights use, ie: H3, H4, etc. Most likely they use H3's, because for whatever reason, most aftermarket headlights for civics use H3's. That bulb is not specified for a headlight, H3's are used in fog lights ussually. You will most likely have to convert to H3 bulbs from your standard 9003's, or modify the housing.
