Early July I was victim to an aggressive driver checkpoint. My buddy and I were driving separately, and he shot off at 110 mph, I was doing about 70 (in a 55). This was on Rt. 422 in a walled off section. Over the crest of a hill, the checkpoint was set up and the cops were shooting "ENRADD", which is some sort of Non Radar Laser crap or somethin. Anyway, they must have shot him when he was braking and then when I caught up to him and they slowed us down, they told me to pull over and told me they nailed me at 77. This is 22mph over and warrants 3 points. I never sent in my plea (trying to buy time), and I got a letter today stating to respond or face suspension. Fair enough, but they have my car down as a 2009 model, where as its a 1995. This is on the vehicle registration.

Can I get off on a technicality? I'm more than willing to pay the fine if it gets reduced to a NMV with no points. The reason it's a big deal to me is because I am getting my CDL in February. I've slowed down since that one drunk driver/aggressive driving situation earlier this year where I was let go pretty easy.

I already sent a letter to the DA requesting it be reduced, but I haven't heard back.
