But knowing the crap AlliedSignal pulls for the FRAM brand, I can make an educated guess:
* Cardboard end caps
* Plastic pressure relief valve
* Paper filter media held in by glue
* Crudely stamped, mild steel pressure vessel.

Basically, a filter cost-engineered down to the last 0.00001˘
