there are a couple of bulldog rescue groups down here....we'll most likely end up going through them. My wife has really big issues w/ dropping lots of $ on an animal from a breeder when so many of them are stuck in shelters needing a good home. Our border collie and 2 of our 3 cats came f/ shelters.

Personally, i wouldn't mind buying a dog f/ a breeder, but i entirely think it's worth the effort to save one
