you know, i live in an apt cause i'm trying to get out of debt so i when i get ready to buy a house, i will have more income to buy a nicer place...that & at the moment, my credit is just average cause of the large amount of credit card debt i had & am in the process of getting out from under. it's not that i dont want a house, it's just that i can't afford the quality of house that i can get once i'm debt free & my credit score is better which should = better interest rate......

so today, i get an email from my apt complex office that's telling about some work they are going to be doing to the parking lots & other stuff, & at the end of the email, it has this little gem of knowledge:

This month one of the homeowners in your area will pay $1183.00 mortgage payment of which $167.17 of that sum will go towards their equity. $1017.31 will pay interest and escrow. They cut their own grass, pay property taxes and homeowners association dues. The mortgage company won’t fix the faucet, exterminate, repair closet doors, or repair a leak in the roof.
