everyone has a choice not to become something. that's irrelevant.

i think you guys are letting your own fantasies cloud up the reality of prostitution. i bet most of you are picturing this convenient scenario where a young 20-something guy goes in, drops $50 or whatever, lays this supermodel, then carries on his day, no harm, no foul.

does that happen, sure? not at that price, but sure. but how much of it borders on violence? screwed up perverts, treating these girls as nothing more than a piece of meat, which ultimately is what we're talking about here, right? i pay you money, i get to do whatever i want to you, and what i want you to do to me. just lay there and take it!
So a law against prostitution is going to prevent domestic/physical abuse? Show me some stats where physical violance increases in areas where prostituion is legal, otherwise you're just pulling it out of your ass.

In fact, I'm more inclined to believe abuse would be higher when prostitution is illegal. You think some hooker is going to go to police if what she's doing is illegal in the first place? "Hey, I'm a hooker, and some guy paid me to have sex with him, but then beat me up. Help me!" Yeah. okay.
