Shut the borders and trade, we want to get paid for 8 hours but only work a grand total of one hour while driving in our huge vehicles and feeding our 4 kids. We're completely capable of making TVs, turquoise jewelry, and Tupperware on our own! We'll show the rest of the world what MADE IN AMERICA really means. errrghhh.
How do these people think we got to where we are? Were we really this inefficient in everything we did? I know we had a lot of oil, and exported it, but at least the workforce wasn't fat and lazy AND we didn't really have anybody else to compete with.

Just because I want domestic oil, does not mean I drive a huge SUV and dump poisen into the ground water. I know that no matter what, we are going to be dependant on oil for a long time to come, and I agree we should be finding alternate sources. Not everyone can buy a brand new car, and it will take a long time for any new fuel to become cheap enough for everyone to use. So, why is it a bad thing to find a cheaper, non-imported source for the time it takes us to do that? Or, we could sit back, and dump money into the middle east.
