I just installed my OEM rear lip about 2 weeks ago....it fit perfectly. I was amazed at how flush it fit. It was like it was made for the car :doh: Are you sure you installed it right? If you did it right, you should have no problems with it sitting properly. Did you put all the step bolts in? Did you attach the adhesive tape properly?
