no clue what your talkin about?

I'm struggling in my mind to figure out how, less material on the clutch disk could cause it to not let go when i press the pedal down, but due to the appearance of this disk & the missing parts of the pads. I'm replacing it anyways. Hopfully this will resolve the shifting issues.

the leading portion of each pad as some amount of material missing.
