Well a single w6v2 is either going to be run at 2 ohms (if paralleled) or 8 ohms (if series). (I don't know why they changed it - should have just left them at dual 6 ohm vc's. The w3's are for people who want other vc configurations.) 2 ohms is what you will want to run it at and 12w6v2 handles 400 watts rms. There should still be a little headroom. HERE, you're still in a manageable range with the 600 watts from the Kicker amp.
Bottom line, it will depend on how hard you push your system. I have 2 of the older 12W6's wired to 1.5 ohms and am using a JBL BP1200.1 to push them. The head unit is an Alpine 7941 with 4 volt pre-outs, so the gains on the JBL are at their minimums. This set up is in my wife's SUV, which she rarely if ever drives them hard. I'll occasionally crank it up, but that's like less than once a month for a very short period.:naughty:
