Default Modified duckHUNT gun...V.shotgun

So I had a little time and some extra money burning a hole in my pocket. There was only one solution, build something neat. At the time my roommate and I were playing a lot of Duckhunt on the old NES. It occurred to me that it was fun and all, but that hunting with a pistol was passé. Thus I set out to create the ultimate NES accessory: A zapper shotgun. There was shockingly little information available online, so once the parts had arrived (a la Ebay) I tore it all apart.

The shotgun housing was from a cheap airsoft gun which claimed to have a scope (non magnified) and laser sight. Upon arrival the gun would not fire and the laser sight was more of a black light LED flashlight. _______ing Koreans. This is what it looked like stripped down:

Notice that the counter weights are NOT lead! I was just as surprised as you are.

After entertaining the idea of extending the trigger mechanically (as to avoid having to solder anything) I decided trigger switch relocation was the only real option. I dremmeled out the body a bit more and found the switch a new home above the mechanical trigger. One old phone chord and a shiny new 40W solder gun later, I was a few dabs of epoxy away from finishing.

And the final project looks like this, Game C (the ______ skeet game) has never been more entertaining.
