I'd base the decision on the other aspects- the new fit is bigger, weighs a little more, and supposedly has a smoother ride. As the decision to get a Fit is generally more in the style of a minimalist or utilitarian attitude- I'd try to focus on what either one offers to that area as it's where the Fit shines
