First off, I should start by saying this. Don't install them, send them back because you'll hate them.

Anyway, installation is a snap if a '01 is anything like my 96. First thing you'll need to do is remove your bumper which should be pretty straight forward there should be 4 bolts holding your bumper to the front. Take those off and your bumper should come free. Then unplug all the electrical to the current lights and remove the bolts holding them on. Remove them CAREFULLY and store them in a VERY safe place. I say this because you'll eventually want to reinstall them. Purchasing new lights is expensive. Then bolt the new ones on and plug in the wiring harness. Bolt your bumper back on and don't drive at night anymore.

Sorry if that's too short, I can't get too specific because I don't know the logistics of removing the bumper of an 01 or what lights you got, I'm guessing they came from ebay. Also, I got burned installing halo projekt0r lights. I also broke my old headlights storing them.
