i have a story to boast about police response
early march my sister had a job interview so i took the day off work to drop her off. I left the house at 9:45, dropped her off at 9:55, got home at 10:05 to a black dodge magnum sitting in my driveway..
now it had snowed like non stop the past 4 weeks so the driveway was narrow and snow banks were about 10ft high. i blocked the guy in the driveway but he saw me and kept backing up. he almost hit me when i let him out. i park my car, walk to my front door two black guys come rushing out and push me into the snowbank yelling "back up or i'll shoot you" and other threats.
they take off in the car with what my backpack (my favorite one) i call 911 right away.. i shit you not, 4 minutes the first cruiser pulls up, 10:15 and there are 4 police cars and 1 "csi" truck.
I was truly impressed by their response. they didnt catch anybody, the thieves didnt even have time to steal much (i think they just grabbed some of my moms jewlery, and my bag with practically nothing in it.). but they did find a blunt outside on my driveway and some footprints in the house that they csi-ed
cliffnotes:
got home as theives were just leaving my house
first response got there in 4 minutes, rest of the crew got there in 10.
i think its mostly because of interupted invasion + gun threat tho.
