I only skimmed some of the pages but if I read correctly, they're basing their information off a DMV report based off a license plate on a (different color than found) Jaguar they think is his. They're also posting pictures of a myspace page they assume is his.

What if the car really wasn't his? What if the pictures in the myspace profile aren't of him? The scammer used someone else's pictures of the wheel ad. I wouldn't be surprised if he used someone else's pictures for the car and myspace pictures as well. The two MBWorld guys who got scammed also said that the guy they talked to had a slight accent. Did they ever say what kind of accent?

I'd hate to see the wrong guy get busted and for them to become so narrow in their focus that the real scammer is getting away. Just food for thought since I don't want to register for that forum just for that thread. h:
He pulled the pictures of the cars (at least the jag) as soon as the shit hit the fan. if they weren't really his why would he be so worried about hiding them? also the pictures he posted of the 2 vehicles were taken at teh same physical location (a parking lot of a best buy)
