Default 1989 Prelude Electrical Problem

Hello, this is my first post.

My 1989 Honda Prelude went dead while driving along yesterday. It started like a champ and everything seemed normal for a mile. Then the engine just went dead, with no electrical power. No lights, power windows, or even the digital clock. All it still has is the warning beep if I leave the keys in the ignition with the door open. It will not turn over when I try it, nor will it jump start.

It just got a new battery a month ago during a state inspection and has been running fine.

I know nothing about automotive electrical systems and my HAYNES manual seems next to worthless for electrical problems. It does not even mention fuses.

Can anybody offer any advice for a rookie car electrician?

Thank you in advance for any help.
