So, on the way into work this AM I saw a bumper sticker that said the following (or something close):
It will be a good day when schools have the money they need to teach our children and the air force needs to hold a bake sale to pay for their new bomber.
I can't say that I agree 100% (we most definitely need to defend ourselves), but it really got me thinking. It is really sad that our huge deficit is in large part due to over-spending on war, yet our school system is producing idiots that would have greatly benefited from more education financing. If we're already spending too much, the least we can do is educate our children!
