All-season High performance is an oxymoron...All season tires are a compromise of any performance in order to be worn year round on a car. Compounds that work well in the summer/hot don't work in the winter/cold, they become hard and brittle in the cold. The same goes for tires that are made for winter/cold not only do they wear out faster in the summer/hot they tend to be too soft in the sides.
True, but some can definitely do the job better than others. My mom's old saturn, for instance, had Pirelli 6000 (I think?) that were actually very good in the dry, I would even autocross on them. They were pretty passable in the snow too, but then a saturn is an easy snow car.
