If you can find them, I highly recommend GE Nighthawk bulbs. I've had mine in my civic (9003 I believe) for around 2yrs. and so far I'm very pleased. A bright, white light that illuminates the road better and, because it isn't a tinted bulb, should last a very long time and doesn't produce a bothersome glare for oncoming cars.

Also used Silvania xtra vision or something (not silverstars) which were OK but not that bright, and I've used ones by Pilot on a couple cars, which looked white but had blue-tinted glass. They Pilots were good for the price, but not quite as bright as the GE ones and didn't last as long.

Though no personal experience, I've heard from several people that the Silverstars don't last very long, and they're quite expensive.
